Bunnings Trade Skills for Teens – Learn, Build and Give Back

Australian Homeschool Hub is excited to offer a group of homeschool teens a unique opportunity to take part in a hands-on Trade Skills Program at Bunnings Padstow.
Held over two to three weeks, this practical program has been designed especially for teens interested in building, creating and learning real-world trade skills.
Participants will work alongside Bunnings team members, explore the Trade Department and meet experienced trade specialists and industry professionals. Working together, the teens will build a real project that will be donated to a local community group.
What will teens experience?
During the program, participants will:
Learn basic building and trade skills.
Work alongside Bunnings team members.
Tour the Bunnings Trade Department.
Meet trade specialists and industry professionals.
Build a real project as part of a team.
Donate their completed project to a local community group.
Have the opportunity to attend a Bunnings Trade BBQ Breakfast.
Earn a trade belt and tools by completing the program.
This is a wonderful opportunity for teens to learn practical skills, build confidence, experience teamwork and use their new abilities to give back to the community.
Program dates
Week 1: Friday 31 July 2026 at 9:30am
Week 2: Friday 14 August 2026 at 9:30am
Week 3: Friday 21 August or Friday 28 August 2026 at 6:00am
The final Week 3 and Trade BBQ Breakfast date will be confirmed directly with participating families.
