Distinction of Membership vs. Subscription

By purchasing a website “subscription” you are entering into a service agreement for access to digital content and community benefits provided by Australian Homeschool Hub.

Please note that a Digital Subscription is NOT a Legal Membership of the Australian Homeschool Hub Inc. (the NFP). Official membership of the non-profit association involves a separate application process, approval by the committee, and adherence to the Association’s Constitution. Only formal Members of the Association are eligible to vote at General Meetings or stand for committee positions.

Clarification of Terms

1. Non-Profit Membership (The Member)

  • Definition: Refers to a legal membership of Australian Homeschool Hub Inc.

  • Rights: Members are entitled to voting rights at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), eligibility for committee positions, and a say in the governance of the non-profit.

  • Liability: Members agree to be bound by the Constitution of the Association.

  • Purpose: This is for individuals who wish to support the mission and have a formal stake in the organisation’s future.

2. Digital Subscription (The Subscriber)

  • Definition: Refers to a paid "Member Portal" or "Hub" subscription via the website.

  • Rights: Provides access to digital resources, curriculum downloads, event discounts, and community forums.

  • Rights Exclusion: A subscription does not constitute legal membership of the non-profit and does not grant voting rights or governance input.

  • Purpose: This is a service-based fee for access to educational tools and community benefits.
